This from a photo I took somewhere in 2009, as we were going... to somewhere (perhaps one day I'll get me a camera with GPS tagging, to tell me exactly where I've been)...
This is just a small piece, with a couple of flicks of gouache, and with a touch of pen and ink here and there for the finer detailing... done quickly, sketch-style... The molecatcher connection? One thing I do recall about this place is that on my left as I took this photo was a barbed-wire fence from which dangled a typical row of dead moles, - left there by the mole-catcher to tell any passers-by that he has been busily and effectively plying his trade nearby...
By way of an edit and an update - thanks to the input of Penny and Jenny and Roy, and some help from Mr Google, I've tracked this down as a place on Blean Lane, not too far from Semer Water in the Yorkshire Dales...
